I took it to the local dealer and diags showed it had a faulty crank shaft sensor. It cost about £30 but it was well worth it. Neither do me or the diagnostic/chiptuning guy know what's wrong. The really weird symptoms and doings of the problem: 1. I can always tell when the problem appears just by the engine sound in the cabin.
